General info:
When you select a maverick at the stage select screen, this is the song that plays as the maverick is introduced to you through a (very ugly) animation sequence.

About the original:
I must confess that there are large parts of the MMX5 soundtrack that I simply can´t stand. This song is one of those parts. It´s uninspired, out of style, it lacks originality, and tries to sound cool whereas it most unfortunately isn´t. When it´s accompanied by one of the worst introduction sequences since the ancient Mega Man games ("Hi, I´m Cut Man, and I jump into a blue frame and wield my cutters!") it just sounds even more uninspired.

Motivation:
For the hell of it.

Sequencing the MIDI:
Since the song is rather on the short side, sequencing it wasn´t exactly difficult, but it still managed to give me a run for my money. A lot is happening at the same time here - sawtooth doing two octaves at once, synth strings playing chords and a bass line that´s built up of eight notes. The song took me about an hour to get right, which is rather much, considering the track length.

About the ending result:
Not much to do about this one, really. I´m satisfied with it.
